Since the establishment of the football club back in 1906, the Marion Sports and Community Centre has developed and grown into one of the largest sporting facilities in the South, where it is home to over 15 men’s and women’s sporting events.
Over the years the club has undergone cosmetic renovations with minor changes made, however recently, we were fortunate enough to work alongside Craig and Kim who came to us seeking advice on how they can update the venue working within the constraints of the club’s budget. With the recommendations of treatments to the bar, through the inspiration of the new furniture selected, we were able to give the dining area a new lease of life by introducing different textures and patterns and pairing them with raw prototype materials such as timber and concrete. Drawing inspiration from its surrounds, the pops of the subtle green adds to the overall “club” feel as it is surrounded by extensive grass fields, tying in all elements that are natural to the eye, yet muted.
With the upgrades made to the bar and the selection of the new furniture, the club has a more inviting feel for both new and long term members to enjoy.
