The $8.5 million redevelopment of the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club marks a significant evolution of this much-loved coastal landmark. Designed to strengthen both its lifesaving facilities and hospitality offering, the upgraded venue delivers a modern, welcoming space for members, guests and the wider community.
At the centre of the transformation is the new upstairs West Beach Surf Club Bar & Bistro — now a sought-after destination for dining and functions. With increased capacity and a stunning wrap-around balcony capturing uninterrupted ocean views, the space balances relaxed beachside appeal with contemporary functionality.
Brief: To deliver a cohesive furniture solution that is stylish and reflective of the club’s modern coastal identity, while ensuring durability for high-traffic, weather-exposed conditions. The design needed to maintain a uniform aesthetic throughout and provide functional, flexible layouts to support dining, events and community gatherings.
Our furniture selection was carefully curated to withstand a high-traffic, weather-exposed coastal environment while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout. The fit-out includes: Trill Chair & Trill Stool by Nardi, Melamine Table Tops – Natural Oak, Filip Bases and Function Tables
